Hi! I'm Vini, I'm 35 years old, I was born in Valença, countryside of Rio de Janeiro, and then I moved to Rio de Janeiro, city where I lived for 10 years and I graduated in Ba(Hons) Architecture and Urbanism at the University Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. In Rio, I worked for five years with Architectural Design and Planning Permission on a variety of projects: residential, commercial, industrial and institutional for public and private sectors.

Upon completion of my degree, I worked previously as a full time Architectural Project Manager in Brazil mainly with Planning Permission. In 2016, I decided to improve my command of English language and did so by moving to Ireland, where I have been living since 2016. As soon as I finished my English studies, I decided to return to work in the construction field and to change my career to an international level.

Firstly, I completed an internship with an Architectural firm in Dublin where I was involved in the designing of architectural projects, developing and modifying layouts to meet requirements for Planning.

Then, after gaining great experience in how things were done here in Ireland, I moved to a company specialised in Smoke & Natural Ventilation systems to work as CAD Technician. I was responsible for preparation of shop drawings for production stage, Wiring Schematics, putting together the Operation & Maintenance manuals (O&M) and Ancillary Certs for BCAR stage.

And since May 2021, I am working in the Fire Safety field, at Michael Slattery Associates as an Accessibility Consultant, where I have to identify the relevant standards and codes of practice to be used for the projects, ensuring all members of the design team are aware of the legal requirements in relation to access and Universal Design set out in several Acts such as Equal Status Act, the Disability Act, to mention some of them. Preparation of Disability Access Certificate (DAC) applications in line with best practice standards, including TGD-M:2010, BS8300:2018 and Building for Everyone (2012) for large residential and mixes-used development projects, office developments, industrial, schools, hospitals and healthcare buildings including landscaping.

My role as an Accessibility Consultant is very meaningful, not just for a professional reason but also as a personal achievement as I believe that we, as Developers, designers and owners of buildings have a responsibility to ensure that the built environment is accessible to everyone wherever it is practical to do so.

I love everything about architecture, art and design. Apart from all of this, I'm passionate about drawings, paintings and accessibility.
